MANILA, Philippines – Phuong Khanh Nguyen of Vietnam is Miss Earth 2018 on Saturday, November 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena. This is the first win for Vietnam for the Miss Earth title.
Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco crowned the 23-year-old from Vietnam who bested 86 other candidates.
During the Q&A, she had the best answer to the uniform question: “Being a millennial, what is the most pressing issue of your generation?”
Khanh said that it was ignorance. “Our ignorance is the most pressing issue. We have technology available and we only care about ourselves.”
In her biography on the Miss Earth website, she said that she loves cats a lot.
“Why do I like them? Because they are intelligent animals that and has the ability to adapt to its environment and situations. Cats are very sociable and just like humans observes its surroundings. She is a Marketing student who is fluent in Vietnamese and English.
Miss Mexico was named Miss Earth-Fire, Colombia is Miss Earth-Water, while Miss Austria is Miss Earth-Air.
