Typhoon Tomas inside PAR/NOAA |
MANILA, Philippines – Typhoon Tomas with the international name Man-yi is now inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) since 8p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23.
This is the country’s 20th tropical cyclone for 2018.
PAGASA’s weather bulletin issued 11:30 p.m. on Friday, said Typhoon Tomas is already 1,365 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora and is moving north northwest at a slower 15 kilometers per hour (km/h) from the previous 25 km/h.
It maintained its strength as it entered PAR, with maximum winds of 145 km/h and gustiness of up to 180 km/h and is not expected to make landfall in the Philippines and will not directly any part of the country as of the moment.
