Two teachers were killed and several students were injured when a truck they were riding fell into a cliff on Saturday, Nov. 24 in Alamada town, North Cotabato.
Names of the victims were withheld as authorities still trying to inform their families.
According to the report from the Cotabato Police Provincial Office the fatalities were teachers and most of the injured are students of from the Kabacan National High School, who attended a leadership seminar in Alamada National High School.
The report said that the victims were onboard an elf truck on their way home when the brakes of the truck malfunctioned and the driver lost control and fell off the cliff.
One of the teachers died on the spot, and the other died in a hospital where the rescuers brought the victims including the 41 others that were injured for treatment.
Police is still conducting an investigation as of this posting.
