Usbon ko ikaw ang sunod sa Mayor sa Fernando ayaw gyud pag-isog-isog kay maego ka aning among bala (You are really hard headed I told you that you will just be till 4pm in Cordova. I repeat, you will be next to the Mayor of San Fernando, do not pretend to be brave because you will be hit by our bullet),” the threat through the text message went as what Mayor Cho had it recorded in the police log book.

Cordova police station desk officer Staff Sergeant Renato Inot said that Mayor Cho could seek police security escorts. Inot said the Mayor has already met with the town’s Police Station Chief, Police Captain Efren Diaz on how to process the seeking of police escorts. Since it is already the election period, the request should also be cleared with the Commission on Elections (Comelec). “The Mayor’s security is paramount. She can always seek security escorts because of what happened,” Inot told Newsph.org in Cebuano.
Mayor Cho is seeking reelection with her first cousin, Ximgil Dino Sitoy, as running mate. The Mayor is the daughter of Presidential Legislative Liaison Officer Adelino Sitoy, who himself was the former town Mayor. Cho is married to a Korean businessman.
