“CHRISTINE’S BOYFRIEND TAGGED AS HER KILLER”

Not a cult nor Jonas Bueno but the former boyfriend of Christine Lee Silawan is now tagged by authorities as her “killer.” “Hindi cult, hindi din si Jonas, yung boyfriend niya ang salarin,” a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) operative told Newsph.org. The suspect is a 17 year-old from Maribago who was arrested through a search warrant that was secured by NBI Central Visayas (NBI Cevro) agents led by Atty. Tomas Enrile.

The lead in arresting the suspect was the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) in Pajac Barangay Hall which the NBI agents secured over the weekend. The suspect accosted the victim where the gory crime followed. Christine’s face was skinned to the bone. She bore 30 stab wounds. Some of her body parts were ripped off, her tongue plucked off. Her right ear was knifed. The motive was crime of passion, jealousy because Christine broke up with him. Last Friday, a certain Jonas Bueno was arrested in Davao, a person of interest on the brutal murder.

Bueno along with his two brothers is facing murder charges for the death of Trininad Batucan in Danao City early this year. The pattern in the killing is similar to Silawan because the victim was also skinned to death. Other details to follow after the presscon at the NBI Cevro headquarters.
