“BAKERY STORE KEEPER STABBED BY ROBBER”

A bakery storekeeper has been stabbed by a robber past 3am today in F. Llamas St., Punta Princesa, Cebu City. Leizel Luang, 29, is already in stable condition however at the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) where she is treated as she only sustained a stab wound in the right side of her body.

She works at Tinong’s bakery about 100 meters away from the Punta Princesa Public Market where there are also other establishments nearby. “Okay na man siya kay dili man grabe ang iyang samad ibalhin na lang siya sa Sotto gikan sa CCMC,” her supposed reliever who asked that her identity be kept told iNews.ph.

They are on a 12-hour duty (8am-8pm/ 8pm-8am shift) the reliever said so the victim who hails from Santander town but temporarily resides in Pasil was alone when it happened. The victim was alone because their baker would report to work at 4am yet.

P300 HEIST

Punta Princesa homicide investigator Staff Sergeant John Eric Samosa said only P300 was taken away by the lone robber who used an icepick in stabbing the victim.

The other bakery sales according to the homicide prober were earlier remitted to the bakery owner. “Mga three hundred ingon ang katong tindera kay murag gi-remit na man daan,” Samosa told iNews.ph.

ROBBER IDENTIFIED

Samosa also revealed that the victim was able to identify the robber because the suspect used to work in the bakery also. They immediately conducted a hot pursuit but the suspect (name withheld) was nowhere to be found in the areas where he could have stayed.

Since the robber fled Samosa said they will just file a case of robbery with frustrated homicide against the suspect who is reportedly from a town in Negros Oriental. “Anyway identified man na siya filan lang nato ug kaso unya palutsan ug warrant,” Samosa told iNews.ph.
