CEBU Elite campers will test their newfound skills in a weeklong tournament designed to put their acquires basketball knowledge to practical work. Camp head coach Roland Remedio will engage the two camps – the Cebu Coliseum and the Talamban in a friendly competition that will allow the campers to appreciate and enjoy the game.
A total of 16 teams will be competing in the 10-under, 12-under, 15-under and 18-under competitions which serves as the culminating activity of the 1st Batch campers. Four teams will be competing in the 10-under – Team Gold, Team Violet and Team Black for the Cebu Coliseum-based campers and Team Emerald Green for the Talamban training camp.
Two teams will vie for supremacy in the 12-U category – coliseum’s Navy Blue team and Talamban’s Battle Green. Six teams will be competing for the 15-Under competition – Orange and Lemon Yellow teams representing Talamban camp and the Red, Black, Aqua Blue and Pink representing the Cebu Coliseum camp.
And four teams are competing in the 18-underclass – Cebu Coliseum’s Gray, Yellow Gold and Black and Talamban’s Black team. Top individual performers in each category will be awarded during the closing rites on Friday.
Cebu Elite operator Chino Uy Sr. is thankful to all campers who continued to trust and comes back every summer to learn basketball skills from the training camp founded by his son, Chino Jr., a former member of the University of San Carlos Warriors. More than 230 campers had registered for the 1st Batch of Training.
The 2nd Batch of training camp will start on May 6.
