MANDALUYONG CITY- An alleged condominium drug den was busted earlier today in Mandaluyong City by authorities which led to the arrest of its owner and his cohorts. Director Levi Ortiz, of the PDEA Special Enforcement Services (SES), identified the alleged condo unit owner as Dustin Nolan Bose-Catolico, an electronic communications engineer by profession.
In a report to PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino, a copy of which was obtained by iNews.Ph, revealed, that a combined team of PDEA SES and NCR agents and Mandaluyong police operatives swooped on the condo unit located at Unit 10F, Tower 1 Farefox, California Garden Square, Mandaluyong City past 1:00am in a buy-bust operation.
They collared Catolico and five others which included three coeds, one of whom a daughter of a former beauty queen. Also arrested were Carla Ysabel Kerr, Meriel Villarivera, Ilah Dalimbang, Rodel Camarillo ans Yves Ng Angeles. The team led by Intelligence Agent Wenifredo Alagabia seized 110 grams of suspected shabu worth about P740, 000.00, drug paraphernalia, etc.
Ortiz said that criminal charges for several violations of the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act 9165) in relation to RA 10640 are being prepared against the suspects. The charges are for alleged sale of illegal drugs (Sec. 5); maintenance of a drug den (Sec. 6); visitors of a drug den (Sec. 7); possession of dangerous drugs (sec. 11) and possession of drug equipment and paraphernalia (sec. 12).
The PDEA-SES is also the same unit that busted the Steve Pasion bigtime party drug network in Sta. Cruz, Manila last March. Pasion, whose clientele allegedly included “celebrities” was killed in the incident after he allegedly grabbed the gun of one of the anti-narcotics operatives./AAJ
