P6.8M MILLION SHABU SEIZED IN SIBULAN 4 PERSONS ARRESTED

CEBU CITY, Philippines- Combined authorities seized yesterday aftenoon, August 19, 2019, about P6.8M of shabu at the Sibulan port in Negros Oriental.

Phil. Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA7) spokesperson Leia Albiar-Alcantara said the operations past 4:00pm led to the arrest of four persons who came from Cebu enroute to the Negros Island. “From Cebu to Dumaguete Sir. Thank you for your clarification,” Alcantara said when asked by Inews.Ph through Messenger.

The suspects were identified as Tim Bernard Las Piñas, 25, Lehsa Jan Taganile, 23, both of Bantayan, Dumaguete City; Kathlyn Caryl Tulabing, 23, of Sibulan and Ellery Jude Alabanzas, 23, of Canlaon City.

PDEA agents, the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO) operatives and the Phil. Coast Guard (PCG-Negros Oriental) conducted the anti-drug operations targetting Las Pinas who has been categorized as High-Value Target (HVT).

The four were on board a red vehicle but one of them was discovered to have been in possession of the illegal drugs weighing at least 1 kilo. K9 dogs were used in the operations which detected the drugs from the group of the suspects./AAJ
