PNP-AFP-PCG-GAs-NGOs-LGUs Medical, Dental Outreach and Dialogue

PNP-AFP-PCG-GAs-NGOs-LGUs Medical and Dental Outreach and Dialogue in Brgy Buenavista, Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, PRO7 Oplan “Yunkai” The medical and dental outreach program started last September 28, 2019, with a Field Mass and immediately followed by the blessing and establishment of the Guihulngan City Police Station PCP2 (Barangay Buenavista).

An estimated 3,600 people attended the activity and a total of 2,848 patients availed the medical and dental outreach programs. There are also other services rendered like legal consultations, wellness and sports.

Also vaccination and deworming for animals. Likewise, the Dialogue and pulong-pulong was also conducted at 11:00 AM and was attended by 1,600 personalities from various Sitios of Barangay Buenavista and neighboring barangays, with the barangay chairpersons, barangay councilors and school teachers. Every participating government agency and NGO was given time to present about their programs.

Representatives from PDEA, PRO7 RPRMD, DAR, DepEd, BFP, Philippine Army, BJMP, Guihulngan City Mayor, Congresswoman Jocelyn Limcaichong and former Congressman and renowned Anti-Communist Advocate Jun Alcover were the resource speakers. Another highlight of the Medical Mission and Pulong-pulong was the surrender of 7 assorted short firearms and live ammunition by 7 Bagawines-Ulay-Cabulihan Workers and Farmers Association (BUCFWA) members led by the president Ana Marie Dayoha to the PNP.

The activity made the locals feel and experience the government’s presence, services & concern for their plight. This will contribute to eliminating the root causes of the insurgency, diffusing their deeply-rooted anti-government sentiments. While the Medical and Dental Outreach Program was on-going, the PRO7 Combo and Dancers entertained the crowd.

The entertainment was well received by the people, particularly the children who joined the combo and dancers on stage to sing and dance. The medical and dental activity ended at exactly 4:30 PM after all patients were entertained.

Before leaving the area, RD, PRO7 with PD NOPPO conducted a conference with the members of the newly established PCP n COP Guihulngan CPS for the additional needs n requirements of the said PCP. Likewise, a short debriefing to all personnel was conducted before leaving the activity area./HTL
