Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines – The Philippine Red Cross Lapu-Lapu/Cordova Chapter has elected a new set of Board of Directors during a general assembly at Mactan Convention Hall last September 21, 2019. This after six of the Board of Directors has reached their two-year term of voluntary service in the chapter.
However, due to the reclassification of the chapter from category D to category C, it now needs 22 members of the BOD from the previous 18 members. Seven were needed from Lapu-Lapu and four from Cordova. The rest of the members of BOD were mandated members with a term of more than two years. Each BOD nominated at least two potential BOD members who are influential in their communities.
The seven elected from Lapu-Lapu city were Michol Anthony Cerna, a Senior HR Specialist of Gaisano Retail, Eric Monsanto, a Marketing and Communications Manager of Blue Water Maribago Resort and Spa, Jeffrey Chua, Proprietor of NAFLA Food Manufacturing, Dr. Joseph Abing, Medical Officer 3 of DepEd Lapu-Lapu Division, Jonas Quilantang, CEO, Uniform Solutions Inc., Norman Mendoza, Reporter of DYSS and Correspondent of CDN Digital, and Ferdinand Mañus, Reporter/Anchor of DYAB.
The four that were elected from Cordova were Ximgil Dino Sitoy, Vice Mayor of Cordova, Remedios Lupo, District Supervisor of DepEd Cordova, Vincent Benitez, DRRMO Head Cordova and Dr. Efren Dico Jr., Medical Officer-RHU Cordova. The newly elected BODs took their oath of office to the Vice Chairman of the Chapter, Mayor Teche Sitoy-Cho of Cordova in behalf of the Chairman Dr. Mario Amores./Norman V. Mendoza
