CEBU, Philippines — The City of Naga received a partnership proposal, on Thursday, October 24, 2019, from Desarrollos Terretres (DT) to building telecommunications (telecom) towers all over the area.
Desarrollos Terretres, a private company of telecommunications infrastructure provider in Latin America, sought Acting City Mayor Kristine Vanessa Chiong’s approval on installing the structures.
In the company’s proposal, DT offers to create a unique solution to dead network areas by installing closed-circuit televisions (CCTV) cameras, fiber optic, and a monitoring center.
For its part, the city needs to put up a minimal investment of assuming the power consumption of the cameras and monitoring centers, making necessary government interventions and public space occupation licenses and permits to allow DT towers to locate the necessary infrastructure for the installation of equipment for different operators.
The proposed joint-venture agreement is eyed to last for 25 years.
DT towers will provide the operation, maintenance and technological updates to the system by the duration of the period.
DT specialized in the construction of telecom companies and project developers and has developed projects in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, among others.
