The government is also now looking into whether it is necessary to implement a travel ban in South Korea. “Let’s wait for our interagency task force. Different officials and secretaries what their recommendations are about it,” Go said. Go called on the public not to go unchallenged but to unite against the COVID-19 threat.
Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia, meanwhile, said they are still waiting for what the province will recommend. Cebu City Mayor Edgar Labella is pleased that OFWs from South Korea needs to be quarantined as Cebu is one of the most popular places for Koreans.
As per the Department of Health, the number of persons under monitoring and patients under investigation in the region continues to decrease./HTL
