One can be single without having the dire need to mingle. After all, our default setting is not “In A Relationship.” This is what Warlyn Gallaza celebrates in her new Bisaya song “Oras Na,” which was released in time for Valentine’s Day.
Warlyn’s sophomore single is a nod to her pop jazz background, and she found the perfect match in the songwriting duo Ryan Taborada and Vanessa Abad who had her in mind when the song was conceived. Upon receiving the rough demo, Warlyn was pleasantly surprised that the duo wrote down the exact story of her lfe although they had not met yet.
Producer Neil Salarda strung together each note and mixed it into a beautiful piece. Adding flourish to the creation is Anthony Uy’s cover art that reflects the tune’s chill vibe.
Warlyn, who represented Cebu City South at the first Bb. Cebu pageant, now has her hands full with her research job, general merchandise business, and most definitely, her music. She plays the piano and the harp and is looking forward to releasing a song that she herself writes.
“Oras Na” can be streamed in all major digital platforms, and its lyric video is available on Viva Records’ YouTube channel. Spotify included it in its OPM Workday Marathon and New Music Friday playlists. (PR)
