The Department of Health Region 7 with the support from the Department of Education Philippine Pediatric Society, and the municipality of Consolacion formally opened the vaccination against Covid-19 for kids 5 to 11 years old earlier today.
The venue at the second level of the mall was decorated with safari-themed balloons plus mascots for a fun-filled experience.
“We want to make vaccination a fun and safe experience for our SuperKids so we created an atmosphere for our children. This is our best option to ensure their safety and protection once they go outside the safe confines of our homes, either to go to school or to go back to the activities we enjoyed as families like malling.” said Michelle Llanos, vice president for Operations Visayas of SM Supermalls.
Dr. Jonathan Erasmo, chief of the Local Health Support Division of the Department of Health thanked SM management for being the perfect venue for the vaccination efforts of the department. He encouraged parents to have their children vaccinated against Covid-19.
Parents are advised to coordinate with their barangay for the scheduling of their vaccination, and to present photocopy of Live Birth, and valid ID of the guardian. (PR)
