Killing The Soul by Lito Gruet

My column is mostly dedicated to sharing inspiring REAL LIFE stories of recovery. With their consent I will be featuring a series of amazing recovery stories. Indeed, everyone deserves a second chance AND we do not deserve condemnation, judgment nor death. Yes, there is HOPE in Recovery.

A former street dweller for over 20years. A dedicated fraternity member of Alpha Kappa Rho (AKRHO). A loving son to his parents and a loving brother to his siblings.
But his life was ruined because of drug addiction.
He was broken, lost, wounded, hurting and lonely. He ended up in Colon area. Every single day, Nognog can be found aimlessly roaming the streets of Sanciangko, Bonifacio and Jakosalem.
His family lost all hope and did not know what to do. But through some amazing people who have the compassion to help, and to his fraternity brod Winston Lee who made a vlog so he can get help from Safehaven Recovery Village, he was saved.
Nognog now after he was rescued and brought to Safehaven.

Now, Joel “NOGZ” Gonzalve is recovering from the disease of addiction and mental health issue with the help of the staff at Safehaven. Thank you to all Skeptron brothers and for all who helped. There is HOPE life indeed will get better! Facilitating Change, Transforming Lives.
