CEBU CITY, Philippines – BAGUIO City weight pumpers Anthon Edser Dela Peña and Lilibeth Ampal ruled the competition as they won Mr. & Ms. Philippines Bodybuilding champions titles in the 2022 NAC Workout Fitness Mr./Ms. Philippines Body Building & Bikini Championship on October 1. 

Dela Peña was the Overall Champion in the Men’s class while Ampal won the Women’s Figure title and will represent the Philippines to the 2022 NAC International Ms. & Mr. Universe competition slated on November 26, in Cuxhaven, Germany.

The two muscle builders from the Summer Capital were joined by EJ Pepito of Cebu City who bagged the Men’s Novice Open title together with Philip Tiu of Quezon City (1st runner-up), Jerome Balinton of Baguio City (2nd runner-up) Nelson Borog of Tarlac (3rd runner-up) and Jessel Labajo og Minglanilla, Cebu (4th runner-up). 

The Men’s Physique – Board Shorts Short category winners were Iligan City’s Arturo Mascariñas topping local bet Reynante Dayaganon of Cebu City, Danilo Javiliar of Tarlac City, Isaac Balungcas III of Lapu-Lapu City and Anton dela Peña of Baguio City. 

The Men’s Physique – Board Shorts – Tall Category title was won by Goldwin Torres of Angeles City, followed by Jerome Balinton of Baguio City, Mike Allen Nojas of Bacolod City, Dan Vincent Perez of Mandaue City and Ron Alajas of Cebu City. 

Arturo Mascariñas of Iligan City and Charlene Malingin of Cebu City meanwhile received an additional P5,000 cash each and special gift pack from IPI for winning the Mr. & Ms. Omega Pain Killer. 

More than 100 bodybuilders from all over the Philippines competed in the one-day nation-wide competition that offered cash prizes, trophies, medals and supplements. 

Among the categories that were competed include master’s 2 title for builders 50 years old and up, Masters 1 (40-49 years old), Novice (Men’s Open for Beginners and Neophytes category), Classic Physique (Men’s Athletics – Short, medium and tall categories), Men’s Bodybuilding (Short, Medium, Tall Categories), Physique Men’s Fitness Model (in Boardshorts attires – Short and tall categories), Figure (for Women’s) and Bikini Shape (Women’s). RCM
