CEBU CITY, Philippines – Get RFID’ed and find yourself to your destination quicker and more convenient through the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).

Getting RFID means avoiding the queue at the “cash lanes” that would slow down your travel time in and out of the 3^rd Cebu-Mactan bridge.

And when you do, register, and download MPT DriveHub App for easier reloading and real-time balance checking on your mobile phone.

According to Allan G. Alfon, the President & General Manager of Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation, about 30 percent of the motorists, passing CCLEX with RFID stickers, are now connected with MPT DriveHub app for convenient and hustle-free reloading.

“About 30 percent of the 90,000 motorists who had already RFID have downloaded the MPT DriveHub App. It is easy to install the app and you can experience exclusive and convenient access to pass CCLEX without getting in line at the Toll plaza,” explained Alfon during the 2-day public event called “Drive Your Way” at the Il Corso Lifemalls North Parking Area last Feb. 24 & 25.

It was a grand exhibit that gave the public the chance to know more about the app and how it can help set fun in road travels.

The event featured a photo booth of an inflatable archway, that is as large as an actual drive through. There was also a free CCLEX RFID installation site, and RFID reloading via the app. Those who attended as well as passerby were treated to fun filled activities such as Street Speed Game, which is a MPT DriveHub and Cebu-themed Pinoy Henyo game, Drop Your Way to Win, which is a life-size Plinko style game, where players get to win free RFID load and MPT DriveHub merchandise.

According to MPT Mobility Assistant Vice President for Operations, Gines Barot, MPT DriveHub has partnered with banks such as BDO, Union Bank, RCBC, Metrobank and BPI and e-wallet such as GCash and Paymaya for reloading RFID.

“It is easy, convenient and has no expiry and no minimum load. Reloading through banks and e-wallet makes it even easier and almost at no interest at all. And through MPT DriveHub you can get real-time updates on the traffic condition at CCLEX in real-time,” explains Barot.

The recently added “CCLEX Tropical Food Park” also gives users the ultimate mobility experience. Currently located at the Toll Plaza, this ‘Drive & Dine’ project will soon find its permanent location by the end of the year, according to Alfon.

Another feature which is in the work is the multi-purpose gym that is also built along CCLEX, which will be open to the public soon.

The MPT DriveHub was introduced to the Cebuanos on March 1, 2022, in time of the opening of the CCLEX. The app positions itself as the ultimate driving partner for seamless travels. Its features accommodate both short and long drives, such as quick runs between cities or road trips that are provinces apart. With its real-time RFID balance check and reloading, the app sets up each user for the smoothest possible drive every time.

MPT DriveHub also allows user to access roadside assistance when your car is in trouble. A feature on the dashboard will allow users to call for help when stalled along the stretch of CCLEX. RCM.
