Omega Boxing Gym knockout artist Christian ‘The Bomb’ Araneta (22-2, 17KOs) will continue his road to redemption as he battles a more experienced Jakrawut Mangjungoen (42-3,21KOs) of Thailand in the main event of the slam-bang boxing card dubbed as ‘Kumbati 14: Battle of Mactan’ on April 1 at the Hoops Dome in Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City.

The 28-year-old Araneta is on a three-fight winning streak after suffering from a heart-breaking unanimous decision defeat at the hands of Sivenathi Nontshinga during their title eliminator two years ago in South Africa.

In his last fight, Araneta proved that he is serious in making another campaign towards the world title after he dismantled Toto Landero last year in Parkmall in Mandaue.

In the supporting main event scheduled for 10 rounds, bantamweight prospect Benny ‘The Bull” Canete (7-1, 6KOs) will be tested by journeyman Renoel Pael (23-13, 12KOs), while Cordova, Cebu-native Carlo ‘Brown Sugar’ Bacaro (10-0, 6KOs) also seeks to deliver Omega Boxing Gym an impressive victory as he takes on Ernesto Cagampan (4-1,3KOs).

The rest of the card features, Penitente Apolinar vs Raymond Empic, Franco Serafica vs Marjun Piencenaves, Michael Adolfo vs Gerald De Leon, Ramil Roda Jr vs Darel Diamante, Maurino Agum vs Kier Toregoza and Jhon Magos vs Michael Omalla.
