CCLEC activates motorists’ assistance program for Holy Week

The Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC) is activating its first motorists’ assistance program this Holy Week, providing necessary services to ensure smooth travels for users of its 8.9-kilometer Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).

That, as Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) expands the implementation of its seasonal “Safe Trip Mo, Sagot Ko” (SMSK) program in the Visayas region. For 14 years now, the SMSK has been a staple program offered in all MPTC-owned and operated expressways in Luzon aimed to augment expressway services during holidays so motorists will have safer and more convenient travel.

In CCLEX, there will be intensified patrol visibility as all of its 16-patrol crew will be fielded starting April 5 to April 11, 2023 to conduct traffic management and respond to motorists’ needs. The patrol crew will be augmented by 36 security personnel who will be positioned in strategic areas of the expressway to ensure safety and security of road users.

In the same period, 13 to 16 toll associates will be fielded to assist motorists at the CCLEX Toll Plaza. CCLEC will also suspend road works on April 6 (Maundy Thursday) and April 7 (Good Friday) to ensure there will be no lane closures inside the facility. Aside from these, free towing for Class 1M (motorcycles with engine displacements 110 to 399cc) and Class 1 (motorcycles 400cc and up; and vehicles such as cars, jeeps, pick-ups, and vans) will be provided. As for CCLEX’s Customer Service Centers (CSC) located near the Toll Plaza, these will remain open from 9AM to 6PM except on April 7 (Good Friday) to cater to motorists’ CCLEX RFID installation and reloading needs.

For immediate concerns, motorists can also contact the Customer Service Hotline No. 13-5000, email at customercare@mptc.com.ph, or access the CCLEX Facebook and Website chats. CCLEX is the first toll road outside of Luzon of MPTC, the toll road arm of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), a publicly listed infrastructure holding company and member of the MVP Group of Companies. CCLEX, which links mainland Cebu through Cebu City’s South Road Properties to Mactan Island through the town of Cordova, is Cebu’s new icon and landmark and is now the country’s tallest and longest bridge.
